Mr. Herran continues to work for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Language Services as a Contract Spanish Interpreter. He has been called upon to serve as interpreter for President Clinton at the Summit of the Americas, secretary generals, legislators, attorney generals, Supreme Court Justices, and other public officials from Latin American and Spain. Prior to law school, Mr. Herran was an instructor at Miami-Dade College, teaching English as a Second Language to Adults and an Adult Education Instructor for Miami-Dade Public Schools, teaching English as a Second Language as part of the Russian Resettlement Program.

While in law school, Mr. Herran was a legal intern for the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service office of District Counsel, a legal intern for The Honorable John M. Facciola, Magistrate Judge of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia, and a student attorney before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia. He also worked as a translator for the U.S. Department of State’s Office of Language Services, translating domestic and foreign correspondence sent to President William Jefferson Clinton and the First Lady.
